A'Pexi Dunk 115 vs N1
Which catback system delivers more constant HP on the VTEC Preludes? Right now I've got a Dunk 115 that I swapped when I sold my 93 S (I know....) and I would rather have something that is more efficiently providing hp. Thanks.
As long as the exhausts are both mandrel-bent, same piping diameter, and the muffler's a straight-thru design, then they'll flow the same. The only diff would be the looks (pick the one you like) and the sound (N1 is MUCH louder). Both the Dunk and N1 have 60mm piping and I believe both are straight-thru mufflers, so it really won't matter. Now, if you were talking about a bolt-on 60mm exhaust vs. a custom mandrel-bent 70mm(2.5"ID) exhuast, that's different!
In Japan they have a race called the N1 endurance series. The Apexi N1 is supposively one of the best for autocrossing. The other difference between the two is that the N1 has the least amount of bends possible, thats why it has that angle look to it. So overall the N1 has less bend then the Dunk. But don't get me wrong both are great exhuast. And yes both are straight through design mufflers. Correct me if i'm wrong but to what i know and remember this is one of the differences. I love my N1 on my lude but then I liked the Dunk on my Integ.
