itr sway + itr catback = headache
i just installed my itr sway this weekend with the BSQ kit...i love the way it feels, except now, i get a horrible rattle becuase the exhaust is resting on top of the bar. has anyone encountered this problem? i have it zip-tied for the time being, but i dont like ghetto rigging stuff on my car.
i supposed the only fix is a new axle back (or cat back), which i dont mind upgrading, but i dont want to buy one and have it do the same thing. If anyone has any insight on this problem, i would certainly appreciate it...or if someone would like to reccommend a good exhaust, axle-back or cat-back, that is not too obnoxious, that would be great. thanks

heh, no, sorry not backwards, i am pretty methodical when it comes to installing suspension parts, or any part for that matter...so i guess i am the only person that this has happened to...
btw, installing this bar is such a pain in the *** without taking off the itr muffler, because of its massive chamber theres not a lot of space to work with on the exhaust side

I dunno, I found it much easier just to unbolt the rear section of the exhaust when installing my swaybar. I did the same thing again when I swapped the BSQ kit out for my current Beaks mount kit.
My swaybar comes nowhere near my stock GS-R muffler. I couldn't imagine the ITR's pipe is routed much different. Sure it's a touch larger, but not enough to make a difference.
I say you check it again and make sure it's not on upside-down. It can easily be installed both ways, and upside-down will give you nasty muffler contact if using stock mufflers.
Have a look, you can see the bar is supposed to go down to clear the muffler then back up. You should have plenty of clearance if it's installed correctly:

*edit* oh heh sorry Bret didn't see your post here... not dissin your product, I just happened to have ~$60 sitting in PayPal one time and just decided to blow it on the Beaks kit.

i just installed my itr sway bar just today with BSQ's kit (btw thanks BSQ). i am running all itr hardware with the kit and i am currently running an rsr exhaust and had no problems installing the kit with my muffler still intact. just make sure to check if it is backwards cause when i first put my sway in, i put it backwards and 5 minutes later i realized that it was the wrong way. good luck man.
i would also make sure your rubber hangers aren't stretched. they can get that way after a while. you can get new ones anywhere for a couple bucks.
