well if the itr tranny is like most others, i drove my new tranny 400-600 miles of normal daily driving (no speed shifting, not dumping the clutch etc...) then after that i progressively introduced it to harder driving techniques. I guess treat it like a new clutch.

your fluid should be fine for a few thousand miles. I think Honda recommends the first trans. fluid change around 7500 miles.. I don't remember for sure.

I think you might want to ask the guys in the ITR forum... But I would think it would be about the same as a new clutch...

Thats what I would do too. My bro's M3 had to wait about 1.5k b4 he could beat the shyt out of it. When you actually finishing breaking in your tranny don't forget to flush it due to the debris of metal particles.

you tranny fluid should be changed every oil change, it sits in the transmission and gets hot metel and debris get in it and guess what theres no filter in their so it just gets rolled around more, the oil is cooled cleaned then recirculates back through the motor and then done over and over, i heard this from a very wise racer and if u think about its tru, really how much extra is it to change the tranny fluid each oil change, 15 bucks extra at most all you do is drain and pour so y not be as nice to tranny as u are to engine, and to my knowledge to break in something you just drive hard for first 20 miles then change fluid and your good, just drive like u normally would.
