Default Short shifter just installed...to stiff between shifting?

I just installed a tenzo short shifter on my 97 civic coupe, i love it, so much shorter throw. but one problem its really stiff, it takes some muscle to shift now. Does it have to break in? I heard you have to lube the ball before you put the shifter in so I used wd40, had nothing at the time. let me know thanks.

Damn does it really matter???? It's all the same in all Honda's. In the time it took you to post " This is the wrong place for this" you could have just told him.

Anyway, you may have it to tight at the bottom or don't have any spacers between the bearing. Mine is pretty tight in my CRX but you get used to it. In my integra its loose. I did have to kinda force the spacers in on my CRX so that could be why.

dude just take it back out put some grease (white litium or wheel bearing grease will work fine) then re-install it and let me know how it is also check your bearing or spacer were shift linkage goes it could be to tight or sumthin

why did this guy post ED/EF?

Regardless if this is a for sale post or some joker with an EJ question, if this is not ED/EF/CRX related, DO NOT POST HERE or you will get this kind of response.

Have a nice day
