Type R's take 5.1 quarts of oil or 4.2 quarts??
I've always put 3.75 qts. in all my B series motors. Anything more has always given me an "above full" reading. 3.75 is fine by me.
i always have to add about 5 quarts to my engine? for it to get a full/average reading on the dip stick. This is with filter change. If i look at the dip stick when the car is on a flat surface at 4 quarts the level is at the bottom mark. Anyone else like this?

f00! Don't you know it's dangerous to change oil with lower than 0.06 BAC? Are you mad?!?

I try for 4.2 but if I'm just lazy, I pour in 4.5. It's not too much and my driving habits will burn that extra little bit off in no time.
4.2 quarts includes the filter change. Should be spot on.
Measure??? You can just estimate, Mike...
4 quarts. 1/5th of a quart is a pain to measure
