White film over my cluster?? what is it or how to get it off???

Default White film over my cluster?? what is it or how to get it off???

my 97 lude there is a whilte spotty film over the instrument cluster on the clear plastic. i dont know what it is and how do it get it off. dont know if anyone has ever had this but it looks like white spotty nastyness and dont know what to do. its really annoying

try taking your cluster out, then take the cover off, and see if it'll just clean off....

ok get some mineral spirits or ...idk maybe nail polish remover will work rub it on a place you can't see first to make sure it won't mess it up, then scrub it off..should do the trick...never tried it on that but it gets all that nasty junk like that off

it seems to me like the plastic has like dried out spots cause if i wet the spot with like a like water on my finger it goes away until it dries hmmmm dont know

Just polish untill it goes away.
I had this on my speedo when I bought my auto lude. It'll take you some time to remove it.

i picked up a bottle of plastic polish at autozone because my cluster had the same problem. After rubbing that stuff on and polishing it the spots disappeared. And it works good on taillights, headlights, and other plastic parts

Yes, get McGuires Plastix. I did my entire dash and it worked GREAT. All the long little scratches (4th gen dash) that were visible when the sun shines on it are barely noticeable now.

I love looking at it. It looks new.
