Has anyone tried the Dension ice>link on a 2004 or 2005?
I'm a new 2005 S2000 owner as of 2 weeks ago. I'm enjoying the hell out of the car with one exception: my tunes. On my last I used an iPod dock and fed the audio in the deck's AUX input. So far on the S2000 I'm having to use an FM modulator.
As of right now, the Monster iCruze doesn't support 2004/5 and the P.I.E. isn't shipping. I did run across this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...56003
I found some mixed reviews but nothing specific to the S2000. Because of the nature of the vehicle I'd like to leave the stock deck installed rather than but a new to have stolen. Has anyone tried this critter? It's less than $200 so I may just buy it and put it up on ebay if it doesn't work.
Thoughts?

I couldn't find a definitive listing that showed it working and the reviews on the net are a little sketchy. I just popped off an order for one of these:

I'll post a review when it arrives.

Sorry for the late reply. I ended up using the Dension IceLink. Installation was fairly painless. Since you have to disconnect the stock bus harness at the head unit you loose the ability to use XM or the CD changer. (I'd like to seem them ship it with a male plug so it could plug into the bus harness in the trunk.)
You can directly access the first 5 playlists on your ipod by selecting disc number 1-5 when in changer mode. Navigating beyond that is pretty awkward and isn't easy to do while driving. It starts playing when you plug it in and automatically pauses when you disconnect.
The dash channel button skips to the next song in your playlist. Sound quality is definitely better than using an FM modulator and it's nice to be able to skip to the next tune without leaving the wheel but it's not nearly as feature rich as I was hoping.
My biggest beef is that the ipod changes modes when you plug it in. Once connected you can't navigate using the ipod controls (unless you navigate via the head unit back to that mode; i.e. hassle). When in Dension mode, the fonts change on the ipod making it even harder to read with sunglasses on.
I like it, I like the sound quality but it could use a few more features. Until monster updates iCruze for 04-05 it's about your only option if you want to use your ipod with the stock head and without FM modulation.
Cheers
