Default CRX vs hatch: info for junkyard purposes...

Well, today I went to the junkyard to salvage a front end for my crx, and there was not a single crx in any sort of decent condition. there were very many ef hatches and 4-doors, but I know I cant use any parts from the 4 door.

My car is an 89 Crx dx.

Are the radiator support (the whole front frame that is spot-welded on, i have a drill) and the bumper support interchangeable from a crx and a hatchback?

Also, engine bay wire harness. On my crx, i need to replace the 2 wire harnesses on the passenger side, from the motor mount forward. You can see which 2 harnesses I mean in the image. Are the harnesses the same between a hatch and an 89 crx? If years make a diff, please specify.

Thanks for the help guys

The bumper supports differ between the hb and crx and between the 88-89 and 90-91. I'm not sure about radiator supports.

The harness your asking about is all one piece. I know it has to be from a DX. Not sure about HB to CRX. I'm sure you could make it work.

Some one please correct me if I'm wrong.

if i were to get a radiator/bumper support from a 90-91, would i be able to use it if I use the newer bumper, or are there other issues?

I'm not sure about the radiator support, I think it should work fine. The bumper supports bolt on the same way. The difference has to do with the clearence for the different bumper shells and bumper lights.

actually, my friend put an 89 radiator support on his 88 crx, and has the 91 bumper support with bumper etc.

so, the bumper support and bumper have to be of the same year 90-91 vs 88-89.

thanks for the info, now i just need to know about the wire harness issue.
