I'd be unhappy too if I went to the strip w/o performing all the above listed maintenance.

Perform the maintenance and drop the 60ft time to around 2.2 and you should see better numbers.

dude those are horrible times...stock b16 in a full interior 89 is faster than that

why are u driving ur car around in that condition anyway?

with a 94.5 trap speed...u must have been spinning those tires for a hot second...remember its not a burnout contest

Get that ECU tuned and you'll gain more HP than you would think

Why don't you make use of the internet and order the parts you need online.

It sucks when you have to pay 2x as much for shipping because you are in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and a company will only ship 2nd day air to you.

Modifying cars is a hobby, and hobbies aren't free. I you can't afford the parts you might try your hand at one of these.

Good. Get some OEM Honda plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Anything else is probably junk.

Charlotte, NC. I am not a hick.

If you think that "Race cars have it, so I need it" is a good reason, you're a ricer. I think that's part of the definition, anyway. You don't have 30psi mixed with ethanol coming into the combustion chamber at 9000rpm, do you? Then don't worry about it.

If your car ran better with Accel wires, that means whatever they replaced was some OLD *** wires. Or it was in your mind. An air/fuel mixture is either ignited or it isn't. And I assure you the wires have VERY little say in whether that happens or not. Magnacore is about the only aftermarket brand that is worth anything, but even then, you better have something badass to require those. I'd rather get some $50 OEM wires that work better than some $150 Accel Super 20mm wires. Quality, not quantity...

Yeah, any time you remove your old worn out stuff and replace it with new you are gonna feel a difference. Now, try maybe opening a summit mag or something like that. They have good shipping and the prices aren't so bad. Leave the Honda ignition alone. Unless you are gonna start drag racing your stock is fine. Some nice MSD wire's wouldn't hurt. But if I were you i would not race until you have that done. You really could mess something ells up.

Well this week
I
Installed JGedelbrock intake manifold, GSR throttle Body, Adjustable FPR, 99 Si Stock Header, changed the oil, changed the spark plugs, changed the wires, new 02 sensor....it "feels" a lot faster, it really needs a tuned ECU, and a better clutch

I finally decided to test the thing out....and well some weight redux happened.....i heard a whistle and pop......there goes the sunroof!!!!! and my GF said there was sparks....!!!!

DAMMIT>>>> where am i going to get something to keep the rain out this is the suxors

That does suck, at least your car is fast and fun to take out on sunny days, I had my car in the driveway for over a year Life's not over man, if the sunroof is too fucked to fix the mechanism, just take the metal plate and rivet it in (make sure to use some silicone seal!), or do the same with some Lexan (or any material for that matter) cut to spec.

And by the way, you really should upgrade that ECU, maybe just to chipped P28 with a DOHC VTEC map but with the addition of an aftermarket intake manifold and ITR cams I highly recommend it.

Yeah, I'm pimping an aluminum sunroof "patch".

Pop rivets and silicone.

I've seen carbon fiber sunroof plugs, but they were a bit pricey.

I was a bit nicer in my previous post because I just assumed you were a newb.. But this was a just plain was a stupid move.

You can do it for free, just be creative. If you're so damn intent on cheaping it and not doing it right for $50, just go get some wood from a construction site and cut it by hand, some spray paint, some silicone glue (or just any window sealer if you're so ghetto) and if you're lucky borrow a pop rivet gun from a friend.

But seriously, just do it right.

Sell your damn Car, and the engine.
But a civic sedan, or the cheapest Honda you can get.

Why get into an expensive hobby if you're broke?
And why modify your car when you can't pay your power bill?

No offense, just some advice.
Prioritize.
