Suspension & Brakes Theory, alignment, spring rates....

Really need advice on D2 ..please help

Default Really need advice on D2 ..please help

so im getting this d2 for my egh22a, custom rate of 9 front and 11 rear ...its a drag setup ..what do you guys think ? also this is mostly be a street car...

ive never dragged a fwd car, but...

you want the shocks to "squat" so to speak so your tires dont spin and spin. the d2s are adjustable for stiffness. so, they will give you the adjustability you need to work on your launches and lower your 60ft. i think you were asking if you need new springs, and id say for now you dont.

sounds like a good number to start with, if anyting you can preload the rear springs more so they squat less. though i can tell you with 11s in the rear, your ride will feel rough over bumps and such.

be careful on the street. with such high rear spring rates the rear wheels will probably come off the ground if you hit bumps. if you are really pushing it in a corner and this happens you are going to oversteer like CRAZY and probably do a 900 degree spin!!!

haha exactly, when i had 11/11 my rear end woudl step out while making a 90 deg turn at 20mph over bumpy roads.
