Falken Azenis 205-50-15 search... can anyone help?
If I had known they were in this hard to come by I would have ordered some by now. The best I can do is an estimated 2 week wait. Does anyone have a source for these. I'm beginning to think I should have included tires in my wheel order.
Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.

I ordered from Vulcan only to have them backordered.
Item ID: 352
Description: Falken AZENIS 205/50VR15 LowStock
Qty Backordered: 4
To ship no later than: Sunday, 3/31/2002*
That is NOT acceptable. I've also tried discounttiredirect.com and they're sold out.

My order was placed on backorder too. Hate to say it but it might be your best bet. Just skate around on the 010s for a while, those are still great tires. The Falkens don't eclipse them like everyone says they do.

My shop was able to get them when the pickings were thin. KAM Specialties - Reading, PA. 610-777-9702. Talk to Bryner and tell him Mike Louie sent ya. I'm pretty sure he will be able to ship them out to you.
He got them for me in about a week.

Well, it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Special order from Falken means a mid-March ship date and noone seems to have any on-hand. I just called TireRack back and added some tires to the wheel order.
thanks anyway...
thanks anyway...
not the 195/50 15 S03's... they're only like $78 I think. all the other sizes are big $$ though.
edit: correction, they're only $76 each
205/50 is $123 though

Hook yourself up with a set of Kumho Ecsta 712s. They are cheap and work extremely well. Get a set and order your Falkens. If you are lucky the Falkens will be in by the time you wear out the Kumhos.
So did I for the M coupe -- 3 weeks later the wrong Falkens showed up. 5 weeks after that I finally called to see where the real tires were (they never contacted me) I was told "oh Falken does not make those tires in that size."
I called up Discounttire, paid 5 more bucks per tire and got the tires (which they "don't make") in 7 days. I should have just paid more in the first place.
Oh by the way, Vulcan still has not credited my account back and is forcing me to go throught the shitty process of contesting a charge with my CC company.
Idiots. Stay away from Vulcan Tires.

IMPORTANT!!!!! IF YOU ARE BUYING FROM VULCAN
If you ordered through vulcan, they do not cancell your order if they dont have them in stock. even though on the website it says that the order was cancelled, and a refund was placed
I found this out the hard way, i got an email 2 months after i initially ordered them, email said that they were sent out!! doouhhh!!
just email them letting them know that you dont want the tires from them

Yea, the email they sent was pretty clear that they were still planning on sending them to me. I think I'm going to just let them ship them to me whenever. Either I'll use them or I'll find someone locally that's in the same boat I was and sell them to them.
In a way, I'm glad to see the shortage. It means that Falken is doing better than planned on this model. The manufacturers deserve to reap the rewards of a good product. I have to wonder when the price gouging will start.
I was just re-reading my second post that shows the backorder notice from Vulcan. It says the same thing as their website. "Low Stock". I wish they'd at least update that to "backordered" or something more informative.

Wow again I'm so glad I got mine on order and delivered in late Dec!!
These tires are worth the wait boys and girls!!!! S-03s are damn skippy but far more expensive for the same 205/50 now it's just a matter of time for the new Kumho MX to come out in April, they are going to be better then the 712s are!!!!
