If you had a blown head gasket you would know it with all the thick white exhaust

you need to monitor the temps on both radiator hoses, disable the fan motors for now, as the thermostat opens the water will not cool as it goes through the radiator and the lower hose will get hot too. This means the thermostat is working. Lower hose not getting hot, no water flow and thermostat is not opening or not opening much. Dont grab them right at the engine as heat will transfer to the hose from the hot engine for a few inches out at both ends. Put the fans back on and there should be about a 40 degree drop at the lower hose, less drop equals plugged radiator. It would take a radiator pressure tester to test the head gasket at home and you sould have to have a BBQ next to your car and keep it pressurized for hours and hours. Pull the spark plugs, crank engine and antifreeze will squirt out of the cylinder with the blown gasket. There are too many ways to test for a blown head gasket to post here, sorry, I will make up the story in my permanent records that i use for posting though.
you probalby have a leak not a blown hg. I suggest to change any worn out hoses you can find and if that doesn't fix it, do as said aboce and rent a coolant leakdown tester to find any other leaks
sorry to steal your thread, but it'll help me too. does anyone know HOW to replace a blown HG? cause i already knew i was leaking coolant so me and my friends checked it out and it was a hose that goes to the engine block that was leaking so i replaced it and i started the car and my radiator cap flew off and starting spraying coolant out so i turned it off immediately and there was white smoke blowing out exhaust too so how much does a new HG run for and how to fix it?
