Let's play pretend for a minute...
Alright, so let's pretend you're an 18 y/o kid. You have a 93 integra in nice shape, and have 3 grand saved up, but the engine needs to get rebuilt, that's 1100 bucks... So i'm down to 1900... I need the car to last me for awhile... What would you do? Is it possible to do a small turbo application, Complete, no halfass ideas for this amount of money? Or should I just do the stock rebuild and keep the 2k and save for a new car?
Thanks for any input!

Are you suggesting a swap or asking what I have?

He's suggesting a swap.
Rebuild the motor, and save for another integra, and keep this G2 as the daily drive, just my .02 cents

Yeah, my dad was just telling me to do this. Just do a stock rebuild, and maybe put a mild cam in it or something for a little extra power...

I'm not planning on a new car right now cause I can't afford it right now, so I need something to hold me over for a few years...
I think i'm just going to get some stronger rods and pistons with stock compression and a little bigger cams and not turbo it right now. I really want like a 98 GSR or up. so I'm going to save up... then probably finance lol.

my suggestion would be get it rebuild but stay away from that shop whos charging u $1100 thats too much for rebuild, or u can actually get an LS complete swap for $800-900. so just get it rebuild or get an LS complete swap or maybe b16.
youre not gonna need new pistons and rods for stock rebuild...unless yours are fucked up...
youll need piston rings, bearing, gaskets, t-belt, waterpump, and stuff for the head...
hell, you might even be able to find a rebuild kit somewhere...
