But just to point out, it was the JDM 96-00 civics that were the actual EKs.
For instance my '98 hatch is an EJ6, not an EK4/?/9

due to their high end JDM counterpart's chassis codes, it's easier to remember one term for a generation rather than five different codes for each.
check your VIN, the 4-6 digits will be EH3

Yeah, I thought EK9 was the Type R. But I've only seen 3 #'s for EKs, but I would assume there would be 4, basic hatch, Type R, Coupe, Sedan
