The lithium grease should have helped. You put some on the ball of the shifter and where it connects to the shift rod?

It is greased stock. So I suppose it will fix your problem.

Yeah you have to put grease on the ball man, i have the same thing and it's great, except a lil for the reverse gear i question that, it's always the hardest to put into gear..

You can drop the whole linkage off. It's only one more bolt and you can work everything off from under the car.

same thing happens to me, you have to let the ball bearing spin by switching from 1st to 2nd or in your case, 3rd to 4th. worked on mine. dont really know how long i did it?

if its really hard to shift then you tightened the shifter bolt to the linkage itself to hard. BTW use the provided sealed bearings make sure you have the same amount of washers/spacers on each side of the bolt , this way the shifter doesnt wiggle on the linkage.

the skunk2 short shifter has a ball bearing end instead of a sleeve with 4 o rings. when i got the shifter in the mail, the ball bearing does not spin so want i did was i installed mine then shift my gears up and down of 1st and 2nd in order to let the bearings move a little.

p.s. pics of stock sleeve and o rings.
