It is greased stock. So I suppose it will fix your problem.

Yeah you have to put grease on the ball man, i have the same thing and it's great, except a lil for the reverse gear i question that, it's always the hardest to put into gear..
im tryin 2 get one of my boys 2 help me cuz its not easy 2 work under the car with my exhaust in the middle and these 2 screws dat u need a 12mm wrench 2 hold while u spin the 10mm nuts off... hopefully dat will solve my problems i thought it wood be bushings or sumthing i didnt get with the shifter....

if its really hard to shift then you tightened the shifter bolt to the linkage itself to hard. BTW use the provided sealed bearings make sure you have the same amount of washers/spacers on each side of the bolt , this way the shifter doesnt wiggle on the linkage.

the skunk2 short shifter has a ball bearing end instead of a sleeve with 4 o rings. when i got the shifter in the mail, the ball bearing does not spin so want i did was i installed mine then shift my gears up and down of 1st and 2nd in order to let the bearings move a little.
p.s. pics of stock sleeve and o rings.
