Default why are my times so high? (searched)

so i ran my crx for the first time today (my first time at track)
here are engine mods....

B16a
S1 tranny
i/h/e
integra throttle cable
ACT dual friction clutch
aem fuel rail
BM fuel pressure gauge
CTR cams
Aem cam gears
stock ecu

today at the track my best run was 15.6@87mph.......
60ft was all about 2.446 or around there.....
at first i thought it was me sucking at driving but then i let a guy who knows how to drive and he ran worse than me....i played with itiming a bit but nothing.....

only things i can think of is:
it was hot liek 100
my header is dented hard and that makes my engine unhappy
i need to get it tuned
new fuel pump mabye?
my tires are shitty bald tstreet tires but still
others are always in 14's here on HT wtf....
o well always another day right?

my crx on azenis with a stock b16 I/h/e with smooshed dc header ran 14.9 at 99 mph, maybe its the tuning i was running a stock pwo.

work on your launch 2.4 is pretty high , im having the same trouble with my ls crx i know whats hurting my times i just dont have the money to fix right now im on 17's with low profile tires my camber is way off horrible traction . what size rims and tires are you running , what tire pressure are you at , is your car lowered to where camber might be off . just a few things that could hurt your time . a 2.2 or better 60 ft should be possible with your car . usaully every tenth in your 60 ft ends up changing you 1/4 e.t.
by 2 tenths . Also is your car bogging when you launch you may need to launch higher . if your peeling out alot on your launch dont just dump the clutch kinda ride it alittle bit feather it also can mess with how much throttle you give it .

Dude, dont worry to much. Skill plays a big part in times, but so do conditions. The other night in my B20 Turbo CRX I was pullin consistant 14.0 flats when most people with the same setup are running 12s and faster.( It was a cool 98 degrees out and I cant launch on street tires) But they have slicks and I highly doubt that their intake temps were the sweltering 150+ degrees that mine were... Plus they prolly have more wheel time then I do with their setup. Dont be to hard on yourself. On street tires my best since Ive turbo'd my car is 13.6@105 with much much more in it. But I havent gotten another chance to run my car cause its just been to hot, over 90 degrees out @ 10:30 @ night.... More wheel time and better track conditions will eventually fall in your favor and youll pull your 14.... Expriement with launch RPMs and tire pressure...

Good Luck

Blaze

holey crap man...the ECU..stock P28, the fuel maps, the timing maps, and the rev limiter are all wrong for B!6, when my motor was stock..i beat the crap out of a car with a p28 running a b16, it is the ECU

and a smooshed header matters a lot also

That is theproblem right there. Why on earth would you run a sohc vtec fuel and timing map on a b16a, and why would you do all the other mods and run a p28?

Times can also be different depending on alltitude. Where I live times average out to around a full second slower than at sea level.

sounds to me like ur just spinning ur tires....if u have bald tires that wont hook up...dont launch it so high ...u will get much better times with a hard roll off the line than if u sit there spinning....i mean 2.44 60 foot is horrible...lets say u pulled off a 2.2 60 ft...that would still put u around 15.3 -15.4...that is very slow considering ur set-up....work on driving and get that thing tuned...also dont mess with ur cam timing unless ur on a dyno...did u even redo ur base timing after u adjusted ur cams?...

thanks for ideas guys....i only spun tires some times...i tried launching at 3k-6k entire day...i got about 12 runs in...and a guy that races his b16 hatch tried and he got same times as me....and even tho my tires were shitty bald street tires they had pro drags going on that day so the track was prepped good and sticky so i diddnt even spin much through gears....i just need to work on 0-60ft i guess.....i prolly wont race at the track for awhile...but i know this crx is at least a 15sec flat car....just need work

Well I looked it up and your around 900 ft elevation which doesnt hurt your time at all. Better tires for sure the other thing is, hows your suspension?
