Hey guys, I was thinking of upgrading my exhaust when I get some spare cash. I just got my 05 type s not too long ago. My question is, i've read online how the 05 type s' have cam upgrades and couple other things. One of those things was an exhaust upgrade or whatever. Does this mean the car has a good exhaust system stock? Or will upgrading the exhaust system give a gain? I would rather not spend 600 bucks on a exhaust system to gain 2 hp over the stock. Also what is the best exhaust system out right now? Im looking for something that performs awsome but is quiet, very quiet. I hate loud exhausts. Thanks for your time guys.

 

just an exhaust will only get minimal gains....u will need to replace other things for the exhaust to make a more power...but yea u will prob get like 1-2 hp..with just an exhaust.,..remember the louder the better...so a quiet exhaust wont have the gains like a loud exhaust would..

 

an aftermarket exhaust is made to perform. most (if not all) aftermarket exhausts will be significantly louder than stock. so if you are looking for a quiet exhaust that will free up more than 2hp, then all i can say it "good freakin' luck!"

 

well i saw the RS-R or whoever the company is, and they make this exhaust that is really quiet so they say. They said the R&D department spent alot of time workin on it or something. Heres the link, what you guys think of it.

money would be well spent elsewhere on your 05
