@!#$@!$# Thieves
I woke up this morning to find my hood and driver side door slightly ajar. Found out some #@!~@## snipped my alarm wires, went in the engine bay and made out with my throttle body and I'm not sure what else. Got into the car and took all my carpets, tried to take the **** but couldn't figure out how, and all my CDs. What the hell is wrong with these guys out there. The police came by this morning and took a report. Whoever it was knew how to get into the car pretty quickly to disable the alarm. The only thing that probably saved the car was some hardware (which I won't mention) that makes the car undriveable while it's parked. !@#$ thieves.
Get a backup battery for the alarm. My alarm has it built in the horn.. also a hood lock will help you. I will be getting mine on Friday. Im on the SW side of H town and its getting out of hand here as well... but thank God I have a garage to park it in.
btw my car got hit last week also.

If you go to a discount place to get your alarm installed - always give a fake address or at least an address where your car ISN'T. Many of these places have high staff turnover and many are ex-cons. Beware

They seem to know what to do.
I actually own a type r now cause my 6 month old gsr got stolen back in december. first, they broke in to steal my audio stuff. 2 weeks later after it was fixed, they took my car.
Seems like it's really easy to get into integras. All you need is a butter knife (i heard). damn. maybe you should consider taking away the powerlock mechanism (or just the switch) so it makes it harder to get in. nevertheless, they can get your hood open pretty easily still.
maybe put in a pager alarm, prox sensor, motion/tilt sensor, battery backup, selfpowered siren, and other stuff. i dunno if people haven't taken my car cause they are still devising a plan to take my car, or my new alarm system with tons of stuff are keeping them away.
Sorry to hear your car got attacked, but at least it's still there. I lost about $700 worth of music (cds, mds) as well when i got attacked both times. (not to mention the audio system and what not).

Yes, very possible for them to come back.
I know for a fact that same people stole my car after they broke in and took my audio before the car theft.
They probably figured out what alarm i had the first time they hit...and they realized it was easy to get by it.

This is VERY important. Where I live there were rumors of a small stereo shop that would steal stuff you bought from them so you'd come back with an insurance claim to buy your stuff back
Needless to say, that shop closed down after the rumors started spreading.

Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah, my R will be disappearing for awhile... locked up in some obscure place. Homey aint gonna play that game no mo'. Too bad. I've decided to move out of the complex also... to a safer place to store my toys.
Speaking of shady shops, some shop in Washington got busted for installing alarms, keeping a copy of the remote control, going back, and stealing their customers' cars.
Make sure you never give any shops your alarm remote...just the key (or the valet key) is sufficient for them to do all the work so...
