VTEC Oil Pressure ECU Trickery? (Euro-R in 92 Prelude P13 ECU)
Before I get yelled at to search, I did a have searched for about 2 hours, but haven't found anything definitive.
I just put a Accord Euro R H22 in my buddies 92 Prelude Si. We did all the necessary wiring and converting to run the engine on a P13 ECU. We have it running great now, but we get a code 22.
I know that OBD2 Vtec engines do not have a VTEC oil pressure switch because that function is programmed into obd2 ecu's. So I tried to trick the P13 into thinking that the switch was there by splicing the Oil Pressure Switch, (pin D6) into the VTEC soloniod, as all the ITR motor guys do to their obd1 cars, but it didn't take care of the problem. We still get code 22.
So does anybody have any ideas. I have heard that the P13 is especially picky with that switch, as it also has to see the ground (pin A26?).
Do you think that if I just grounded that wire to the chassis, it would trick the ecu into thinking that that sensor is there?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, but the P13 is only a temporary ECU until we get Hondata, so I don't really want to spend the money, as you can delete that sensor with Hondata. I know there is a way to trick the ECU, but I just want to confirm that I can just run the ground.

thats what I did at first and it worked fine... don't know what to tell you. On a side note, since I parted out my car I still have my hondata with a basemap for the euro-r.
