Default (searched)Question about turboing 94 accord F22B1 motor

Hey guys this might have been answered already and i am just wondering what you guys would think about turboing my 94 accord F22B1 it has about 160,xxx miles onit, i want to turbo it run low boost (artound 7-8 or so) till i get somemore money to get it built.I am thinking of doing either rev hard or turbonetics on a stock engine other than cam gear. Please guys this is a stupid question but it would help me out alot and i would appriciate it.Thanks.

really depends on what the condition ofur current motor is, i'd start by doign a compression check, 160k could mean its barely broken in, or could mean shes on her last leg

but i've seen ppl do 10psi daily on a stock block, so you should be safe assuming your mtoor is in good condition and that you tune it properly

yup it sure will be tuned correctly they have a dyno and everyhting, all i would need is to get a VAFC or SAFC and get it turned that way.im also getting the Apexi-I turbo timer that has the air/fuel ratio onit and such so hopefully it will turn out nice.thanks.

I'd say stay away from the AFC, either go with an eManage or use a p28 and go uberdata/crome, you just have to swap to pins on the harness to get it to work perfect on your motor.

yeh, i'd suggest something slightly more robust than an AFC. Uberdata/Crome would prolly be a similar cost but a far better solution

and the a/f ratio reading on the apexi turbo timer is narrowband and more or less useless
