need help: sohc zx into 89 crx hf, not firing on all 4
hey guys, im trying to figure this out. im not hitting on 1 and 2, i have spark, and i have fuel into the injectors, but they're not hitting. the distributer that came on the zc didn't fit into my wiring harness, so we put the one off of the stock motor on it. there's 7 wirese on it, and only five on the zc distributer, do i need to rewire, or do i have other problems. please help, thanks. oh, the zc was carburated, but everything on the hf was already ran for mpfi, , running a zc intake, my stock injectors. god this sucks. im so close i can feel it

The DOHC ZC engine has the TDC sensor on the exhaust cam, if its still there, seperate the 2 TDC wires and wire them to the sensor, otherwise, replace the dizzy with your HF one.

use the HF engine wiring harness and the HF distributor - you will need to block-off the hole in the back of the head (next to distributor) where the mechanical fuel pump was located

I don't think Honda has machined that part of the head casting for a LONG LONG time, no block off plate needed.

thanks for all the help guys. you know how to make the engine run right?? make sure your firing order is correct. stupid people at advanced auto told me the wrong firing order. anyway, it runs now, but the throttle pos. sensor is bad. what to do about that?? can't get just the sensor, at least not that i know off. honda tried to sell me the whole throttle body for 400. i'll get it running right tonight though, i hope. much faster, let me tell ya. thanks for the help though. just a stupid mistake i wasted six hours on. its always the easy stuff that stumps ya, ya know.
