Default 1988 sir front end

I could buy a front end conversion for my 88 dx hatch. I want to know if a sir conversion that comes with hood, bumper, clear bumper lights, stanley head lights with stock bulbs, stanley corners, fenders with sidemarkers, radiator support, and middle filler piece would bolt right on to my car. If not post some mods I migh have to make.

ps the conversion is from a sir hatch

yes it is bolt on, all will fit fine, also bumper support you will need, the only mod people do is to get the hood to latch properly it usually needs to be shimmed

no it wont...its different...anyone trying to sell u a conversion without the support is gonna screw u over...cuz thats something pretty major and will be a pain in the *** to find...i think ud feel more comfortable going through a shop like Hmotorsonline.com or passwordjdm.com

The stock radiator support (t-bar) will work with the sir front end. I know because I'm using it and have the sir front end on my hatch. It just requires the top to be shimmed out about a 1/2" or so.

the usdm support, and the jdm support are the same (except for the hole for the intake)

no matter which one you use, you still have to re-align the hood latch to get it to work.

Never said it was the same...just said it works just fine. In any case most swaps only include the "t-bar" not the whole radiator support. If you get just the jdm t-bar it still has to be shimmed.

Oh well it really don't make a difference. I decided against buyin it because most wanted $100 or so for it, and most say that it still needs to be shimmed to line up with the hood latch. The USDM works fine and you can't even tell that its shimmed.

Most people pay over a grand for the conversion....I did mine for $500 total, using the stock one is just a way to save money.

passwordjdm...$700+shipping which in some cases is $300. Not everyone is lucky enough to live in cali where all the good shops/parts are. Hell I see people payin like $500 for just the front bumper on ebay.

There are a couple of importers in Miami and one in Georgia.
I used to buy a bunch of JDm stuff for my CRX from the guys in GA. They go by Jacocorp or Jacorp on ebay.
