Default VAFC2.....honest opinions. Please back up your statements.

I'm considering buying one of these....I would like to know how useful they are HONESTLY when it comes to dyno tuning.

ALso, please do not say "Its ricer junk" unless you can somehow back the statement up. Reading stuff from teh search engine I saw a lot of people have negative things to say about VAFC's, but I never saw any concrete proof to back it up.

Honestly its junk..

wow you got Vtec at 4000 RPM's but you did nothing to fuel or ignition

For the money you spend you can get a nice Crome setup.
p28 ECU-100-150
Crome - Free
DIY datalogging- $10
3 AT29c256 epproms- $14
Willem Burner- $45

with the money you save from the crome can actually be used for real tuning. BTW the VAFC doesnt have ITB tools, Full throttle shift, Launch control all those little accessories that cromes has

Getting rid of my VAFCII was the best thing i ever did to the car besides the 4.7 tranny

You are given the option to increase or decrease fuel by percentage. Does not allow you adjust the fuel trim By each RPM.

On the Dyno you may be running pig rich then you run super lean at 7500-8500 RPMS so its a difficult spot ya know.

when i had my mugen chip. i was on the dyno i had 12.3:1 AFR with just the chip and VAFC untouched.

Then i took out 25 % fuel and AFR only came up to 12.6:1. And my AFR was very shaky on the graph.
