Default valve adjustment problem?

hey whats up guys, got a ls/vtec motor with blox type B cams. the feelers are .008 for the intake side and .009 for the exhaust side. at TDC for cylinders 2 and 3 the feelers weren't slipping in at all for the exhaust side even with the adjustment screws all the way out. anybody ever have a problem like this? thanks

did u put a long screw driver down the cylinder to make sure cyl 2 is at TDC?

also u need to check the clearances in the firing order: Set the motor so cyl # 1 is at TDC, then turn the crank ccw 1/4 turn so that cyl # 3 is at TDC, then another 1/4 turn to put cyl # 4 at TDC and finally another 1/4 turn to put cyl 2 at TDC.

the lobes on the cams should be parallel to the rocker arms and the valve springs should not look compressed
