Yes, It seems I´m the only one who thinks about going from JDM FD to USD FD, hehe
It is just a mind at the moment, but I think when my ITR is turboed I want a faster car. I realy think the USDM final drive makes me not slower, cause I can make a bit more boost in 1st and 2nd gear, cause of the longer engine load.
I know a punch of people have installed a JDM fd and I wonder what you do with you stock fd. I guess you have it somewhere in the garage or so
What do I need beside the 4.400 gear. Any bearings and /or other gears?
Who can help me out.

Don't forget about the 4.20 final drive that the LS tranny has in it.
I guess you would need the same parts as the 4.785 install would require... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=119053

Thanks.
But I don´t get it exactly if I only need this 4.400 gear or do I need some parts beside the fd like shafts, etc. to make a complete tranny conversation to 4.400.
I want to keep my stock 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5th gear.
Common`anyone has to know.
oh yeah, how much would such an convert cost, when I take the parts used? Of course in good shape

Looks like 6 pieces are used in the 4.785 conversion.
-2 needle bearings
-final drive ring
-final drive pinion
-a gear of some sort
-and the item in the little bag near the bottom (middle) of the picture
You will be able to keep your 1st thru 5th.
Not sure how much to perform the swap. Most any good transmission place should be able to perform the work.

You'll need a :
USDM countershaft
USDM first gear
USDM FD (4.4)
2 needle bearings (they go between the shaft and first gear)
At least thats what I took out when I installed my ATS, so I assume it's what you need .

Thanks
Can you explain me, why I would need a USDM 1st gear? The ratio of 3.230 is the same on JDM and USDM spec.
Do you have those parts for sell?

I sold my counter shaft, 4.4 fd, and bearings for 100 bux.
Yea I know I could have gotten more for it, but oh well, I helped out a fellow R owner.
