98 Accord 4 cyl wouldn't start. Waited 15 minutes then ok
Went to start and I let go of the key just a little too soon and the car stalled.
Then it would turn over but no ignition.
Thought fuel pump or filter.
Went to call a tow truck.
Came back 15 minutes later and tried it again and it started fine.
I was thinking maybe the computer got confused by the stall and wasn't allowing ignition. AFter 15 minutes it reset itself.
Is this reasonable or do I have a flakey ignition switch etc?
Thanks
Ken

Yup. While learning stick on mine I flooded it a few times. About 10-15 seconds later it would fire right up. Was quite embarassing actually.

I don't think it was flooded.
After it wouldn't start at first I looked under the hood to check for obvious things like an HT wire fell off or fuel line cut. That must have taken 60 seconds or so. Also I tried starting it with the pedal all the way to the floor (does that still do anything?). It didn't even sputter.
Would the starter run if there was a problem with the main relay? It was a warm day (80F), but the car hadn't run yet that day.

it is your main relay just buy another one and install it ... i install about 4-5 of them a week in accords ... the problem with the main relay is the soder joints get damaged and it wont make contact when it is hot ... dont bother with the resodering because you really dont want to get stuck somewhere without a way to get home and besides it only cost around 50 bucks
if car dies as soon as u let go of key u could have a bad electrical part of ignit switch ....i am not 100% sure but i think that there is a recall from honda on those ..u might want to call dealer to verify ...
