ARC Welding VS. MIG Welding
I was wondering if I needed a MIG welder to do the rear wells of my CRX or if I could use an ARC welder. I don't have the money to spend on a MIG but could afford the ARC stick welder. If it's just for body work will it work???

haha he means stick welding. i used to call it that. mig will be better for that stick weldning isnt really meant for thin sheet metal, a light 110 mig welder will be perfect thats what those ones are for.

I'm trying to provoke thought, but sometimes it doesn't work well.
I agree. Stick welding for auto body is a big mistake! If that's all you plan to do, get the cheapest Hobart Handler 110v machine, with flux core wire, and it will work great.
