Can automatic stall?
Hi Guys,
I have some technical question that I need answered before heading to the dealer. My friend picked out an automatic 2004 honda civic LX last year and she told me that the car stalled on her initially after she got it, so she had it serviced and they found nothing wrong. Last week while she was making a U-turn, the car stalled in the middle of the island. I'm going to the dealer with her on Thursday and wanted to know where this problem might be coming from.
Thanks,
JP

I had a 95 Civic DX automatic that stalled on me periodically for a couple of weeks. All I did was replace a blown exhaust gasket (between header and cat.) and the problem went away. I doubt she has a blown exhaust gasket on a car that new but it just goes to show that the problem may lie somewhere you'd think least to look.
