Default Crank Balancing - 96 Spec B18CR

My block is going for major rebuild real soon, just curious if a Crank balancing is needed as it will save labour for later..

Define "needed"

It's a good idea, mine is balanced. Not much more cost after the motor is already out of the car.

What's your "major rebuild" in including? Rods and pistons too?

J00 not the one that will rebuilding it?

Do J00 understand the C5 is very well built and balanced from the factory. Once anyone else puts their hands on it and install "other" parts,,, kiss the Factory balancing and reliability away.

If you have applied any aftermarket items such as lighter flywheel or aftermarket rods/pistons then it would be a good idea to get the entire bottom end assembly balanced to spec.

P&P head
new, ACL Bearings
new, B16B Piston 81.25mm (means need machin the cylinder)
new, Supertech Valves
new, Rocket Ti retainers
new, Mugen 0.47mm Head gasket
new, Toda 80mm Oil pump gear
new, all rubber seals
I dont know what its call in English, but its something that upgrade the water route to maximize cooling.

possible adding:
ARP studs
crankshaft balancing
900kg clutch
Endyne breather kit

so i was wondering if i should do crank balancing as the block will completed stripped.

and a complete re-tune on my power FC...
