Defeat Tow Trucks, heres how.
With all the posts I have read about ITR'S/Integras stolen out of peoples driveways. I think finally there is a solution avaliable. http://www.protectapost.com (saw this on Team-Integra) Basically it's a metal pole that you can install in your driveway that receeds into the ground, until you hit a button on your remote control and it goes up. After your car is in the driveway, there would be no way to get the car out tow truck or otherwise unless you cut the pole down. If I had a house, especially one without a garage, this would be the first thing I got.Hopefully this helps a few of you sleep easier at night.
we can never defeat these guys......period
for some reason they ALWAYS find their way around stuff
not a bad idea though, but what if you forgot it was up and backed into it

Sounds rad, but the only forseen problem would be when the wife asks, "Where are the keys, I need to run to the supermarket!" Zoom, zoom (in reverse), then CRUNCH!

I imagine it would depend on the layout of your yard around the driveway, how close to the road, etc. And of course how many you put down, given the width of the driveway.
Im speculating, but I think they would work pretty well so long as you thought out the layout of them first. Again speculating, but even if a truck were to run them over, I think if they'd have to go at such lengths you would eventually wake up at some point.

The point is not to make something 100% secure. For something to be 100% secure NO ONE can have access to it including you. The point of security is to make it so difficult that its not worth the thiefs time, or to make the risk of them getting caught outweigh the reward of getting your car.

I think you'd get in a heap of trouble, because its property and your life is not in any iminent danger, now the trick is to shoot them all dead, place a weapon on one of them, and then it looks like you were being threatened. Last time i checked nobody believes a dead thief.
Or do like Dave, "just sprinkle some crack on em' johnson, case closed."

states like texas you can shoot to protect certain personal property,, but since your in cali. you can not shoot anything (even ;paintballs) at anyone for any personal property,
if the tow truck drivers points a gun at you or some other weapon and your life is immediately threatened... shoot to kill
and on those post thingys.... there are other cheaper ways to stop thiefs from taking your stuff from in front of your house.

hahaha...I haven't seen that show in such a long time.
ANYWAY, I think a standard home security system with motion sensors would work...plus trespassing opens up a new world with that gun idea.

I have a 40 foot black birch tree at the end of my driveway. I'm getting a length of thick chain and going around the tree and padlocking to the rear tow hook.
It should slow down the thieves a little bit.
I'm also going to change the 10MM? nut on the battery negative terminal to something else. (bigger? smaller?) So that the pro who shows up looking to disable the alarm in 12 seconds is thwarted a little bit longer.

Wouldn't theives have a good set of wire cutters and just cut the battery connection? Once they have disabled the alarm they could just reconnect the battery terminals. Though, the more I think about it the more this might make more sense than my comment....ha

There was a thread with a transcript from a thief detailing how he could disable a honda alarm in some ridiculously short time. It seemed to hinge on having a 10mm rachet ready for the negative battery lead.
Maybe an extra 30 seconds of my alarm going off while he retrieved wire cutters would scare him away. Maybe not.

"Robust 3mm/5mm Stainless Steel Construction"
I guess you have a choice between 3mm or 5mm... 3/5 and you'd have to worry about a strong gust of wind

make sure you get the +, the fuse box +'s and the 10mm that holds the ground wire onto the chasis
