sunroof stuck open! rain is coming!
i need some quick answers, it's gonna rain any day now and my sunroof is stuck open. it opened and a half hour later the switch does nothing. i checked the fuse, i tried pulling the thing by myself... yeah right. there is supposed to be a gear i can crank to close it manually but i can't find it. i could care less if the sunroof doesn't work, i just don't want to have a fish tank for a car. i have the thing wrapped with poly and duct tape, looks pathetic. also i fear it's a good target for thieves. it's a 90 civic si fyi. thanks!
i'll give it a shot. pardon my lack of vocabulary; but what is a tap? is it a cap? or is it one of those two black plastic lever looking things? i'll just have to see for myself. thanks!
Here is a write-up for a bad switch. Try it.

that is a nice write up, but i found the problem. it finally rained and i had to drive to work. my poly and duct tape didn't hold up at highway speeds. rain is dripping in.... nice. while driving i noticed my wipers weren't working either. when i got to work i went to check the wiper fuse and noticed there is a fuse-relay for the wipers + sunroof. who knew there was 2 fuses for the sunroof. well i guess i should look a little closer next time. problem solved, little damage done. thanks guys.
