I'm planning to be there ... for the SHRIMP!
Signed up as an *cough* Instructor *cough* but if Joe states that my car can't be allowed on track, I'll still sit in and see if I can help anyone out like I did a LRP.

Rolling Anton in the TT would be easy, but still fun.

Ha!
I'm about 50% on this one. Maybe 40%. Stupid dad had to go looking for a weekend WGI event, may have found one with BMWCCA, and he's out of vacation time. I really wanted to make it out with him to visit his brother (my Uncle).
Did you guys hear about the guy that just died in a Porsche Boxster at WGI?

Easy? Yes most likely if I perform anything like the crappy example of driving I showed today with the Porsche club
First time autocrossing this season, the only good feeling was I was not as bad as their worst drivers, I was pretty middle of the pack as one of the very few Non Porsche's. Of course the cute blond in the S2K beat me though.
Oh and I got to ride in a GT3 with Chris as pilot, Jeezus that thing is absolutely amazing.
I guess I gotta start somewhere though and this is a fun course that I have good experience on.
FYI, has anyone been up there this season yet? Or seen any races?
From what I've seen there has been alot of paving done to some of the short runoff sections and turn #1 similar to how the F1 courses paved their kitty boxes.
It truly is a shame that poor man lost his life. The only positive I find in it is more awareness of safety and safety eguipment and just how serious this stuff we do is. May he rest in peace.
1st thing on my list to do when the new helmets hit the market this fall is order a good full face unit & the same Isaac device that Dave already uses: http://www.isaacdirect.com/

Are you going to the NASA event too?
I was looking at the prospect of becoming a member of a fourth BMWCCA region
That's a lot of regions.
What's with this NOPI crap Willard?

Methinks the Glen is at a distinct disadvantage in the T&A department for the BoIz!

OK, so I've never been to a weekday event, anywhere. Is this NASA event usually full?

From what I can remember, the amount of cars have grown year by year. It wasn't "full" last year in certain run groups but it was pretty close, IIRC.
And weekday events are nice. You can call your coworkers between sessions and see how they're doing, slaving away at the office while you're out having fun.
