I can't say for sure, as I can't really tell where the noise is coming from, but it doesn't sound much like rod knock.....it almost sounds like you fucked something up good in the head.

Let us know if the noise is coming from the very top or the bottom of the motor.

1 - O2 sensor
4 - Crankshaft position sensor
22 - VTEC oil pressure switch

Did you just do a swap or something?

Sounds like the crank angle sensor may have busted off! Also, pull the valve cover and check each adjusting nut to see if all the valves are tight. Check the timing belt side of things to see what the timing's like. Do a compression test. Check the spark plugs. Etc.....

You may think it coming from the head but most likely its the bottom end. I had a noise similiar to that and I swore it was the head.... turned out it wasnt.

You might want to check your injectors. My other car (not a lude) sounded just like that and I took it to the dealer and the diagnosed it as malfunctioning/bad injectors. The revs go up and down with no type of pattern, It feels very jerky (shaky) and the knocking is loud when driving.
It all too familiar to me and shares very similar symptoms - including the check engine light erratically going on and off.

Check it out first before pulling the head... I hope it helps

Check it out - Im a NOOB. LOL

The only thing I can make out of it is some serious pre-detonation since it is throwing a code for the CKPS. Just for ***** and giggles, get a timing light and see what the spark advance is at. I bet it's like 45 degrees BTDC...LOL!
