FS: 1999 Civic EK W/ H22 Swap (Ohio)
Sadly, the time has come for me to part ways with my Civic. I love it to death, but I need something stock for the commute to school this year. The h22 can't compare on gas mileage, so it needs to be replaced
Here's the rundown:
Chassis
1999 Civic CX
~65k miles (see note below)
No AC
No Power Windows
No Power Steering
Engine
2000 USDM H22a4
~65k miles
HCP Mount kit with front crossmember
Raxles Custom length axles (Nov 04)
Short-ram Intake
Apex-I World Sport Exhaust
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Chipped P28 ECU running custom Crome map (May 05)
Fluidyne Aluminum radiator
Suspension/Wheels
H&R Sport springs w/ Integra Type-R spring rates
KYB AGX Shocks
Civic Si wheels wrapped in new Kuhmo MX tires (205/50-15)
Inside
Civic Si gauge cluster
OEM Civic CD Player
Clifford Alarm w/ remote power locks
OEM del Sol seats (VERY nice)
The car is in real nice shape. There are a few small dents/dings/scratches, but nothing unusual for a 6 year old car.
The engine was swapped by a previous owner at a shop down in FL. It is a SUPER nice job. All wiring is soldered and wrapped nice. It looks stock. It also has stainless braided clutch lines and fuel line. Of course, with any DOHC VTEC engine, it burns a little oil but thats expected. The transmission shifts extremely well. No grinds. Clutch still grabs nice. It could use a professional tune on the ECU. I can tell its running a little rich but I dont' have the time nor know-how to tune it. It still runs fine, but its not at its full potential yet.
Odometer note: The gauge cluster was switched to a Civic Si model one. The tach shows 16k miles. Exact miles are unknown. I was told 55k when I bought it. I have since put around 8k on it. I would guesstimate the mileage to be around 65k with the condition of the body and other small signs (clutch pedal).
The car handles extrmely well considering the MYTH that h22 civics suck to drive. With front and rear sway bars, this thing would handle awesome. I just never got around to buying those. If you are interested and in doubt, we'll go for a ride. No P/S takes a week or so to get used to but I don't even notice it anymore. And I'm 5'6" 125lbs so you bigger guys won't have a problem at all.
Price: $9,000
I am always willing to entertain reasonable offers
