Default RB25DET into 1973 240

I know there are a lot of great fabricators here on Honda-Tech so that's why I am posting here.

Has anyone done an RB25DET into a 1973 240 swap? Basically need help with mounts.

Everyone loves threads with pictures

Going to be a single turbo GT40R or GT42R with a a standalone. Going togo help with some chassis work and mockup today.

wow fun fun fun.

Take lots of pictures and good luck with it.

But as for mounts, the way my mounts were made for a 3tc in a 1986 corolla was made, was everything was put in, and because we used the stock transmission with a slightly modified bellhousing, we boled the tranny in first. then we used a jack to slign where we wanted the motor to sit. Made sure the hood closed and cleared, then started designing, welding, testing, remaking, and came up with mounts that mounted in the stock brackets; it was easy for me because the mouting spots on the motor i wanted to put in was not very far off where the old motor mounts went. Have fun fabbin.

My coworker is doing one. He's been working on it forever, but the mounts have been done for a while. He may have made a jig. I'll ask him.

Some progress pictures from today.

Test fit with the original RB25 mounts and original 240 mounts

Isnt going to work

The stock bottom end that's soon going to be replaced with forged pistons and rods

How it sits with the mounts untouched

Again, how it sits with the mounts untouched

Scott modified the mount

Passenger side modified mount

How it sits with the modified mounts

Going to be a beast once it's finished

you're doing it all wrong. you need to get the skyline crossmember and weld/bolt that into that car.

None really. Just some chassis work. The owner, Scott, is putting the funds together for everything.
