Default Daily driver w/ aluminum dash?

Has anyone had any experience with driving a car with an aluminum dash on a daily basis? Just wondering how loud the dash itself is going to be. My car is already gutted like a ***** and it's pretty damn loud as is (lexan rear, fiberglass rear hatch, absolutely no interior except for dash). What do you guys think? Go for it or not?

Self / shop fabricated if i do it, I have hookups at Deepstage Motorsports in Texas, that's where it'll be done if i do it. We have done them for all the full race cars we've had and Drew over there is the **** at fabricating them. If you feel like coming out to texas to get a dash done, hit me up. If you're nice you can sleep on my couch.

You want to plate your entire interior with aluminum??? You can't sleep on my couch anymore! J/K. It's not a tremendous weight loss, maybe 20 lbs. The real weight lies behind the dash, in the heater and a/c ****. The heater core weighs a ton, literally, 2000 lbs. I think you would be much better served going to a legit shop in CA to get it done if you're serious. Hit up some real racers out there. KG (Kurt Gordon) would probably be willing to hook you up for some money and some lunch if you're really really nice to him. Call around to different shops that have serious drag cars, someone will help you out.
