Default VW vr6 intake manifold

Built this for my brothers fully built vr6 turbo. Space is tight in a corrado so the tb was relocated to make the FMIC piping easier...I was building it without the car or motor around (car is in NY), just off his measurements...so i was pretty excited when i heard everything clears (you can see how close it is to the alternator)

He (your brother) doesn't happen to sell underhood mirror kits that fit between the hood skeleton, does he?

Ah ok. I was talking to one guy with a red Corrodo at a car show in PA a few months ago from NY and he had a small turbo kit on the car at the time so I thought it might be the same guy but now he's going even bigger. Oh well, nice work either way.

Its most definately a v6. I beleive that the VR6 engine is a super-narrow angle v6 (15° IIRC). I have always found the vr6 heads simply amazing to look at. a spectacular feat of engineering IMO.

15% is right...the head amazes most of my honda friends..the combustion chamber is all in the piston design...its a disel motor

REAL good job, insane to know you didn't even have the motor there. They're a bitch and a half when everything is in front of you. Hot stuff.

Hey what does that VR6 engine/tranny weigh? Is it a 2.8 or 3.2l?

Reason I ask is I'm collecting data for my next car project. Finding the weights of various drivetrains is proving to be tough and if you can help I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks, any info would be great. Finding drivetrain weight is turning out all but impossible.

The VR6 seems like a great drivetrain for a small car, the only thing I don't know about is its drivetrain reliability.

You want weight with or without accessories? I think I have a weight on a motor that got shipped complete.

Anwyay, the motors are strong but the transmissions give out at about 350wtq.

Either or both weights are fine; I'd be using only the alternator, FWIW. The complete shipping weight is fine too if it's accurate (my concern is the shipping company exaggerating the weight to inflate shipping costs.)
