Koni sport yellows / ground control install help?
Ok my koni yellows came in finally and i dont know how to set it up.. the instructions arent very helpful and i was wondering if someone had a pic of the strut fully put together, also would i have to wait for my coilovers to come in to put the konis together or could i just setup the struts right now and just put on the coilovers later?
What is the car? You are mentioning struts so I don't know if you are talking about an '01+ Civic or RSX or if you are talking about an earlier Honda and misnaming the shocks. More info is needed just to start.
Ok well my car is a 2000 honda civic hatchback.. umm i'm wondering how to put together the front and rear shocks and if i would have to wait to get my coilovers to put them together.. front came like this

also i was wondering if i use completely new shocks/coilovers do i have to take off and reuse any old parts from my stock suspension?
and does it matter which way these little rings are facing? does it affect anything depending on which way the gap in the ring is turned?

sorry for the dumb questions.

-If you want to install the konis while you wait for the GC sleeves to come in, the instructions to the left of the left-most shock in the above picture will show you how to assemble the coilover. Make sure you use anti-seize, it is your friend.
-You will have to reuse your tophats and their associated bushings, and, depending on how low you want the car, the brake line bracket. The instructions will show you the parts to reuse and how to install them. When installing the GC sleeves, their directions will tell you how to assemble the coilover. Just remember, when installing the unit with the ground control sleeves, it's much easier to install if you spin the perch to the lowest setting, so you can compress the shock to maneuver it around.
-Doesn't matter which way the gap in the circlip are facing as long as the circlip is fully seating in it's groove.

wait until your adjustable spring kit comes first. you will have to take everything apart again in order to put the adjustable spring kit together.
you will need to reuse the top hate from the old suspension. which requires you to take apart the old suspension. use a spring compressor.
the link at the top of the suspension forum pretty much shows everything you need to know.
