your like the 187419237 person that has asked that question and your going to receive alot of different remarks like vent for heat etc... all that I can say is it is for aesthetic reasons.

it's actually and old hot rodder trick...used to help keep things cool under the hood, it was not originally done for "looks"

gotta say tho...that's some of the best fitment of corner lights and headlights on an EG or EJ i've seen in awhile...
as far as the hood prop thing...figured it was for cooling...since heat extractor cowl hoods on FF cars are pretty much pointless...as opposed to FR drive cars with tall intakes...
although i hear a B20 intake sits a bit tall in a civc or teg...

i did it to see if it actually would work , as some people have stated its an old v8 trick.
i can feel hot air pouring out the back of the hood so i left it like that. it works for me.
