top speed what the top speed on Yamaha r1, honda cbr600rr and a cbr1000rr all 2004 s
looks like you might be in a world of trouble, judging by your posts. and it seems like u want a liter for a first bike and ur a speed demon. but if u can handle it the r1 is more powerful.
It isn't about speed, u won't use it all. I've only went to 185 mph once and that was chasing a Busa and to see how fast my bike would go. But I will hit 155-165 every now and then to get a rush.
U want top end or get there faster? Best thing I've done was to change the gearing, 1 down front and 2 up rear and it'll get there quick and still have good top speed.
Hope u don't get too crazy with one, it's like a gun. U have to respect it and once u pull the trigger (throttle) there's no turning back, u might hurt yourself, someone else or both.
Warning: It may be ADDICTIVE.

I've pegged my 750 out twice on the way home from stunt wars....But then again i'm +2/-1, so i'm sure I wasn't doing exactly 185+ but close.
you're a complete squid i don't think you should buy a bike if these are your questions.... but to answer them so there isn't a bunch of misinformation here.
real world top speeds (not indicated).... liter bikes are going to top around 175 while 600's will be around 155.

130 mph and 150mph feel about the same...and I don't think that 190 would feel much different. All of them will make your head spin if you look to the side while riding.

Hang on...your the same guy looking for his first bike yes?
I told you. You have to go turbo, nothing else will do for you. If you do that all of the above will hit 180+, maybe more if you ride naked.

i dont think speeds that high are safe, and should be practiced on public streets/roads. however i strongly disagree with you that those speeds all feel the same.
130mph to me seems more than managable, while 150mph+ feels like total chaos, just waiting to suck you into heaven/hell. My speedo indicated 158mph on my R6 the other day, and i honestly dont think i will ever do that again. its a rush, but just to friggin dangerous unless on a course.
back on track with the topic..
I dont know that we need to be harsh on the kid, just take this advice, and learn from yourself.
All the videos you see, or people that talk about going 180mph, are idiots, and will probably live exciting, painful, and short lives.
Get out on a rocket of any size, and youll quickly learn that top end speeds are the absolute last of your worries.
Once you have mastered the motogp for 3-5 years straight, then go looking for top speeds.
good luck

He is not the one with a busted hip from acting like a 'fuggin idiot' on the road. 130 does feel alot like 150, 180 does feel alot like 150 and over 100 is uncomfortable if you stick your head into the air.

Just get a 70 tooth rear sprocket. Then you can go "180" whenever you want. With cars passing you.
I've been a GPS indicated 184 on the busa so far (yes, I know...)
Let me say, you do NOT want to have any kind of problems at that speed. Furthermore, if you are buying a bike purely on "top speed", I suggest you take up skydiving. You can reach speeds of 150 all by yourself....
and....
IF you parachute fails, the only person you will kill....
IS YOU!!!
Darwin is now doing a google search for your home

I think anyth9ng over 150 feels similar. There is little noise just wind and the scenary is moving rapido anyway. Now if you are talking about on the road I can understand it.

Depending on the rider there's more adrenaline, worry, degree of focus, self doubt...u fill in the blank(s).
180 does feel like alot more than 150, hence the reason I've only done it once.
Maybe, just maybe 50 feels like 100 with no helmet on. If there was ever a case that speeds kills without contact this could be it. With no helmet, nothing for your eyes and no ear plugs.
