Brakes - Does it belong in these section ?
Hey everyone - I'm here at a friends house and when I got here he had his rear drums dismantled. I totally distest drums but yeah anyways, I put everything I could back together but there is one dam spring that I don't remenber from memory from which to which hole on the shoes it goes to. I will attach a pic so you can see what I'm talking about.

From the picture I think it's #10 would be the spring I'm talking about. On the shoes themselve there are two small holes in the upper corners. Does that spring go from that hole the other or does it go to the closer hole. If anyway can shim in here I will really appriciate it as that is all that is missing. I'm in the process of uploading actual pics.

As you can see in the above image - I have circled to seperate holes. To which hole does the spring go to. Is it the yellow one or the green one ? On the green hole it seems to lose for comfort but on the yellow hole it's alot tighter ? Anyone ? TIA.

In the above image you see the spring I'm talking about going across from one shoe to another.
Good Day,
RH.

i have a picture from the helms manual that shows it as using the hole you circled in yellow. This is from a EG civic Helms manual, page 19-32. I have the photo, just nowhere to upload.
I was taught in my brakes, susp and alignemnt class that i've taken that you should always do one side at a time so you can reference the other.
I hope you replaced the wheel cylinders while you were at it. What exactly was being done to it? New shoes and resurfaced drums?

Yeah, thanks for the post. Everything is good to go. It was the yellow hole after all. I digged up my EF Manuel and I figured it would be the same. Basically new shoes, 1 new wheel cylinder(one was bad), and some springs were replaced also. Thanks Again.
Good Day,
