Could someone explain why people don't use center caps in their wheels?
I don't understand why most wheels I see on Hondas/Acuras show off their rusty hub rather than use caps. This is an honest question. I just don't get it.

my wheels dont have centercaps (sw388's). and a lot of people buy old school rims which may not come with all the centercaps, and some people, including myself, just dont like centercaps. i've never kept centercaps on my wheels, even when i had wheels that came with them. i just dont care for them.

b/c most of the time ppl have rotas and ppl want there wheels to look like the jdm wheels rota knocked off so if u dont put center caps in no one will kno 
or they didnt come with center caps

Depends on the wheel IMO. Some just look alot better w/o the caps I think.

Because my wheels are old and the center caps most likely got lost along time ago, when I find some for my wheels I will be putting them on.

it all depends on the wheel. Volk TE37's look great without center caps, but something like volk GTC's or CE28's look like great with them imo. i think i just depends on the wheel, and alot of wheels (i.e. my work emotions) dont come with them

i have ls meshies and i dont have caps on because i live in cali and alot of folks here are shady *** bitches and theyll jack em' 
The reason I started this thread is because I just bought some Rotas, and have read about how people disliked the Rota fake carbon fiber center caps. Although I haven't put the wheels on yet, I think the caps look pretty good, or at least better than rust. I didn't buy the wheels to impress anyone, or pretend that they're a more expensive brand, and besides, I drive a 6 year old Civic, which isn't exactly a status symbol. 
Here are a couple of examples. These were taken from a recent thread with pictures of lug nuts:
For some reason, this guy spent $500 or so on lug nuts (?!)
which look pretty cool, and I'm sure those green wheels, which don't appeal to me, are equally expensive, but the rust sticks out like a sore thumb.
Now look at this wheel with a center cap. To me, this looks 100% better.
People actually steal center caps? ROFL, that's really pathetic!

Hell, I own a set of Works, but I don't have the caps on simply because they throw off my colour scheme. My EP is all black (well, CF) on white, and the caps are all red.... just throw off the look... so I keep them off. But that's just me.
