Default Whats a good first motorcycle?

I've decided I wanna get a motorcycle, but I dont know really a whole lot about them. I was lookin at some older Honda's for around 3grand or so, which is about what i'm lookin to spend. I want somethin that will be fun to ride and easy to learn on, also i'm kinda big so I dont wanna look like i'm riding a midget bike, i'm 6'5 240lbs.

So does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what I should get? What kind of bikes are available for around 3-4k used, what would be my best option?

Hyabusa. That way you end your life as fast as possible.

I would get a used R6 which can be found for 2-3k online.

Whats a good site to find used bikes on? Is there like an autotrader equivalent for them?

look in the motorcycle forum to answer all your new rider questions:

especially the sticky thread on the top of the forum

you should look into a suzuki sv650. Its a sporty bike, but has a more upright riding position compared to your typical sport bike, which should make learning how to ride a little easier. Also, insurance is a lot less and although they are fast, they're a lot slower than other sport bikes, so you wont be tempted to do anything stupid.

I'd probably go with an 94-95 Honda CBR600F3 or an F4. They're reliable, light, and have enough power you can keep up with people, and still not worry about flipping over. plus they're easy to fix if you crash.
A good place to look would be in the Cycle Trader magazine (if you have one) which are at most gas stations.
a couple other good places to look are WERA forums (www.wera.com) and 2 Wheeled Freaks (www.2wf.com).
Just be sure you have enough left over to get a helmet and other safety equipment, dont want to lost another one.
