With the header and the high flow cat, just do some other small mods, advance timing, remove power steering and you will have low 15's maybe high 14's.

You could do some weight reducing, light weight wheels.

A shot of N20 will get you into the 14's.

im thinking some aggresive cams like crower 404s,cam gears, p&p head, tb, manifold. have you ever thought of changing your tranny to a GSR or ITR. i hear ppl love it so much when they sway there LS tranny for a GSR tranny.

Damn 14's. I just wanna get my auto LS in the low to mid 15's N/A.I think you will need some crower 404's, some hi compression pistons, cam gears, p+p head, tb, high-flow intake manifold and a type r or a gsr tranny. Has anyone on this board swapped a LS tranny for a type-r tranny?

Get a Turbo. 3 grand, and you're gonna be fast...

14's will be kind've hard for an LS to hit without FI help...

You need to work on your times. I could always hit consistent flat 16.0s on my stock LS on stock Michelin tires. Since then I have added I/E, but haven't run it yet. I'm guessing it will be still flat 16s or high 15s.

I hit a 15.4 in my 97 LS with I/H/E and cam gears. That was at a dead start, I get wheel hop if I launch. Try some head work and/or and you should hit 14's

no way you'll get 14's without some fat cams and some prayers.
The best mod you can do is to get a GSR, SI, or ITR transmission. Gearing is key. That alone should be 3 tenths. Been there.

-C

btw, I also suggest FI.

FI is not the only way to hit 14's in an LS !

The right combo of i/h/e, with some cams, c.gears,Si tranny, phantom grip, ported head, MSD, advanced timing and a good driver, that should do it.....

Or just Slicks, Si tranny advanced timing and c.gears.... there are so many combination possibilities without FI or Vtec swaps....

Damn, I hit 15.8 with I/H/E, Carsound Cat, and I also gutted out the back (seats and spare). I was aiming for mid 15s. I guess its my worn out clutch and my launch.

Let me first say I had a 96 LS, so I know a lil about the B18B motor.
Do not waste your money at this time on IM or TB. They will do absolutly NOTHING right now. I would do cams, cam gears and FPR next. After that, you might benefit from IM and TB. Also, you do not really need a clutch right now unless it is slipping which I know it's not with the mods you have. Since you are not replacing the clutch, I would not replace the FW right now. A FW might not get you in drag racing anyways.
Turbo is a good option, but IT COST MORE THAN $3K!! Somepeople seem to think that installing a turbo kit is like installing an intake. It requires tunning and you will then need a clutch FOR SURE!!! Dp not forget to ad the cost for all the labor. Going turbo cost more like $5k. Have you ever noticed that all the people that recommned going turbo and think it only costs $3k actually DO NOT HAVE TURBO!!!

couldn't agree more

before I went turbo I ran 15.4 @ 88mph. That was with I/H/E and my rear seats and spare taken out on Bridgestone Potenzas 930s lowered to 19psi. With cams, tuning and a good driver will net 14s
