VTEC oil pressure drop?
Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone watches their mechanical oil pressure gauge when they hit VTEC. I was wondering how much oil pressure drops so i know how much to adjust the oil pressure relief spring. im gonna do some mods to the oil pump so i dont lose as much oil pressure under VTEC. if anyone has accurate information please let me know. Thanks yall
nate
*EDIT* BTW, its a B series. LS vtec. b16 oil pump. But any B series oil pressure info on how much it drops will help.

oil pressure drops about 4psi, its normal, dont bother "modding" your oil pressure spring, it really wont do anything. Stick with a quality 10w30 synthetic oil and an oem s2000 oil filter and you wil be fine
hrm... not a big deal then? so why does Toda make a VTEC killer setup with one of it's main purposes is so oil pressure is not lost to critical parts at high rpm?
