Dropped valve, shattered piston...you get the idea(Pics)
What started out as a fun weekend @ Hyperfest turned into being a not so fun couple of weeks. Got her home last Sunday and wasn't able to pull the head till today.
Results =
Must thank all that helped me out but especially to Chris(6ghatch)and his crew for the tow and JonD for allowing my car some driveway space at his place.

That looks really close to what my motor did in march, except mine was #3 cycl.
Pm Len, he hooked me up with a new long block for 3750 shipped.

So, what RPM did this happen at? When do you usually shift? Just wondering if this was a stock redline or higher.

lol...yeah I was horrified when I got the head off..I couldn't believe the damage.
but it was a stock motor w/ just bolt-ons.
Coming through turn 9 full throttle towards the bridge @ 7-7500K RPM's when she gave out.coasted right into the pit.

Kinda knew it was bad when we saw Metal, antifreeze and oil coming out of your muffler 
Good luck on the repairs, But don't get discouraged and sell after this, You have too much love invested in the R.

dunno..possible mis-shift in the past but not any that I can remember that day. oil was a plenty.
It was daily driven, driven to many HPDE's & Expo's...dunno

This is my worst fear. I've had some spooky mis-shifts at speed but with the luck-O-the Irish caught them with a quick clutch in.
So, any better, stronger, faster six million dollar hyper r plans?
