I had one on my EJ8. Check out my webpage for pics.

Fitment----Perfect fitment. Centered correctly in bumper cutout with excellent bumper clearance. No complaints.

Loudness/tone----Even bolted to the OEM b-pipe, the thing's pretty loud. This is mainly because of how small the canister is; small canister means very little muffler packing, leading to high volumes. Daily driving with little throttle input isn't too bad. When you really get on it, though, it's quite noticeable. My Civic used to have an A'PEXi N1 cat-back, and I think both seem to have the same PEAK volume. At idle, the N1 is louder, though. Also, I noticed that Spoon's silencer didn't really decrease volume so much as just take away the drone on the freeway. Still seemed just as loud to me with or without the thing installed inside the tip.

Gains----Hardly any, if any at all.

Overall, I highly recommend one despite it being so pricey for a simple rear-section. I chose mine because I didn't want some 4" tip hanging out the rear of my car. The Spoon N1 tip is the same size as my stock EJ8 tip. To most people, it looks stock, but once they hear it then everything's revealed. I don't know why exhaust companies can't make exhausts with a simple 2.5" tip. I loved mine. Actually sold it to hondadesign here on H-T, and he modified it to fit on his EK. I've been debating whether to get another one for my DC2.

Even tho it was loud did it still keep a deep tone? or does it get raspy like a fart can.

Nah, still kept the deep tone, IMO. I know what you mean, though. Stick the silencer in an A'PEXi N1, and the tone gets super raspy.

I just used the stock B-pipe. Thought about getting a custom one fabbed but didn't want to deal with the loudness. Loud enough as it was with stock mid-piping. Great rear-section, though.

Mine will probably wake the dead when I install it. It will be mated with a 4-2-1 header, highflow cat, 2.25inch mandrel bent midpipe.

Speaking of waking the dead, my Buddy Club Spec-II full catback is behind a 4-1 header with a 2.5" collector and the OMNI Test-Pipe.

Anyway, for the original thread starter. Do a search here on the board and you should find someone who posted a video (with sound) of his '00 Civic SI with the Spoon N1 axleback.

Here, I found the video for you: Right-Click, Save-As:

Unless the sound setup is of professional quality with quality mics, regular MPEGs that people make lose a lot of bass through the cam microphone. Very disappointing. Mine turned out the same way when I tried to make a WAV.
