anyone have any idea how i should buld a custm box down in my spare tire well??
i have 2 JBL power series subs and a smaller rockford amp i wanna make a nice custom setup down in the truck area, nothing wild, just something that sounds good, and looks tight, thanks, pelasse post pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fiberglass. I built a 4.5 cubic foot ported fiberglass box for a single Kicker L7 15. Gonna hook it up friday to see how it sounds. It's really not as bad to do as some people think!
hey could you do me a favor and tak a pic??? i wanna do somethin like that, but not sure what, thanks
damn, that is very nice gravity, i only have 2 10" subs i wanna put in mine, is it hard to screw wood to fiberglass? i dont even know where i can get fiberglass, or what size i would need, i just want sumpin that isnt too heavy, and still looks and sounds good, but i dunno, i have to think of sumpin, thanks though
I took mine to Tweeter(formarly Bryn Mawr) and they made a mold and made the box out of fiberglass. it took a week for it to harden up rigt then i took the car back and they cut the wood to fit the trunk. i am nt real sure how the box and wood are held together. i think it cost me like 250 for the box.
i hace seen alot nicer. but i wasn't going all out just something to look nice and sound good plus have trunk room

Made a custom box for my girlfriends Camaro. She wanted 2 10"'s in it. I used MDF wood...like you get at Home depot to biuld the entire thing out of...it is heavier but it is also alot cheaper. I used the 1/2" instead of the 3/4". It sounds great...especially in the back of the Camaro where they can bounce of the hatch.
