how can u tell what model crx u have between dx and hf
i've looked on the title and everywhere but i cant find out if my crx is a hf or a dx. i know theres a way u can read the vin # and find out what it is but i have no clue on how to read it on crx's. i just bought the crx. please help me out
You should be able to tell to tell by the engine type. DPFI intake manifolds are quite different from MPFI. do a search to see what they look like.
vin numbers

if your intake manifold doesn't have a round black cover on top then it is Si or HF, if it has a round black color it is a CRX commonly refered to as a DX.
CRX Si
CRX <----has round black cover on intake
CRX Hf
CRX Si
CRX <----has round black cover on intake
CRX Hf
Also i think the Dx has a clock in the interior hf's have that damn clock cover. One other tell tale sign is hf gauge cluster goes to 5 grand and the dx goes to i think 6 . Oh yeah jacob is right no rear windshield wiper. I'm positive on that cause my hf aint got no damn windshield wiper. The dpfi is a dead give away. If you have any questions on what the interior should look like i can send you pictures of my dx shell in the back of my house. Hope you find out what type of crx you got there

possibly confusing that with JDM CRX's. SiR models are 89-91 only. ?

Correct no hf came with a rear wiper. Makes for a cleaner look imo
Run the vin and you will see.

about the whole hf not having a rear wiper ..thats cool but i have owned 2 dx's and both never came with a rear wiper!!! but yea im with everyone else on the intake manifold part the dx has dual point injection and the hf and si have multi point injection etc..
