Default Help! Motor Swap... turning to bad. Need help!

I bought a 1993 Honda Prelude with 187K miles on the chasi and 80K miles on the rebuilt motor. I had it for a week, then the motor blew. So I took it in to an engine shop to have the motor rebuilt again. They replaced everything, block, pistons, cranks, etc etc. They've had it for over 3 1/2 weeks now, which should have only took 7-10 days. As of last Tuesday they installed the motor. And now today(Thursday) they said there might be a problem with the ecu, because the electronics isnt working right. I have already invested $4200 in the motor and installation, and if the ecu is bad they said its going to be another $400. By the way its an H23. Has anyone ran into problems like this? Any info can help, thanks.

You spent $4200 to have an H23 rebuilt? You realize low-milage F22b's (JDM counterpart of the H23) sell for only a few hundred dollars?

yes, but I guess its due to labor, and the fact that its a shop in Arizona. They were charging 3800 for a motor rebuild WITHOUT the block, and I had to add another 400 for the block. Now they said I might have a bad ecu.. then they will charge me 400 for that.

Sounds like they are just screwing you. They wouldve known the ECU was bad before rebuilding the block. Take it somewhere else.
